advise you to read this page in full, without skipping any information. You must
fill out an adoption application prior to being eligable to purchase a hedgehog
from us. You must be atleast 18 years of age to fill out an application.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone at anytime for any reason!
Our hedgehogs will go to pet homes only! We do not sell hedgehogs for breeding purposes and DO NOT sell to pet stores! We also do not sell opposite sexes to anyone to ensure this policy is followed.
1. Our hedgehogs are to be treated as a member of the family, and are not to be left unattended for prolonged periods of time; nor is ANY hedgehog (not just ours!) to be left outside at any time whatsoever.
2. Our hedgehogs MUST be provided with fresh food, water, shelter, a wheel, quality veterinary care, and adequate climate control using a CHI (ceramic heat emitter) setup at all times which can be purchased directly from us when you pick up your new baby. You can also purchase housing, wheels, as well as food from us at any time, be it at pick up, or ordering food from us when needed.
3. Our hedgehogs will be sold as PETS ONLY. This means you must agree to never breed the any hedgehog purchased from us.
4. We believe that when you purchase a pet, it is a lifelong decision that needs to be taken seriously. This is why we do not offer any refunds. However, if within 7 days of the pickup, you feel that your hedgehog is unacceptable and the reasoning is deemed to be appropriate by us, you may return your hedgehog for another out of a current litter or a future litter. If at any time you are no longer able to provide a good, solid, stable home for your hedgehog, for whatever reason, you MUST return the hedgehog back to us and we will care for it and adopt it to another good home. You are not allowed under any circumstances to hand over your hedgehog to any buyer, shelter or rescue, or offer to to be under the care of any individual other than yourself after puchasing from us.
5. We will at any time take our hedgehog back if asked to do so by you after purchase, at no monetary cost to you and with no further obligation.
6. We have taken great care at Super Hedgehogs to ensure that our breeding stock is free from WHS (Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome). More information on this as well as other disorders can be found at http://hedgehogcentral.com/disorders.shtml.
7. We will not sell to anyone who lives in the states and areas that hedgehogs are illegal which are as follows Arizona, Hawaii, Maine, California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and the 5 boroughs of NYC under any circumstances.
8. Our hedgehog prices start at $175, and increase from there dependent on rare colors or markings. We can not guarantee prices under 4 weeks of age, nor can we guarantee the color of your new baby won't change during quilling. Hedgehogs do not develop their true color until 6 months of age.
9. You must place a deposit on current babies and you can also place a deposit on future litters. Deposit price is $50 and is non-refundable. The amount of your deposit will be deducted from the balance you owe at pick up. I will take deposits through Paypal or cash only. No personal checks and no money orders!!! If you are paying through paypal you can contact me for our information. A 3% fee is required to be added to all paypal payments, which will make the deposit price $52. I give 24 hours after you request to hold a baby and if the deposit has not been received, the hedgehog will be placed as available. The remaining balance is due in cash only at time of pick up. If you place a deposit on a baby and decide you want a baby from a different litter, you are only allowed to do it once. If you have put down a deposit and decide that you cannot get the baby at that time, I will hold your deposit for 1 year.
10. You must bring an appropriate carrier for transporting your hedgehog home. The carrier must snap, zip, or lock closed. There are no exceptions to this and if you arrive without an acceptable carrier, we will not release thehedgehog to you. If you would like to purchase a carrier from us at the time of pick up you may, as long as advance notice is given. You may NEVER use a WIRE CAGE TO HOUSE YOUR HEDGEHOG! Hedgehogs will get their feet stuck in the wires and WILL get hurt! Fish aquariums are also not appropriate for a hedgehog due to no air flow.
11. We do not ship our hedgehogs at Super Hedgehogs. Some breeders feel comfortable doing so, we do not. We can provide transportation that can be arranged on an individual basis for an additional fee, if you are interested please contact us for more details.
